Seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our quality control team. In this role, you'll play a key role in ensuring that all our products meet or exceed our established requirements for reliability and workmanship, as well as other quality control program standards. This position requires a precision minded individual, with technical skills to inspect finished parts and hardware using the CMM, measuring tools, and visual techniques. Primary Responsibilities:Inspect machined parts from internal and external sources using Zeiss CMM'sCoordination of inspection activities with others to ensure the work is performed properly under company policies and procedures.Conducts and documents first piece, first article, in-process, and finished product inspections to determine if products are in compliance with order specificationsSupport internal machinists with measurements, problem resolution and print interpretationTags and isolates non-conforming parts; notifies the Quality Assurance Manager and operatorsRead and interpret blueprints, 3D Models, engineering drawings and diagramsInspect using manual hand gauges, thread and plug gauges, micrometers and calipersLead and develop CMM programs using Calypso softwareAbility to review data supplied with parts to acceptance criteria, such as: dimensional reports, traceability reports and certificates of conformityEnsures in-date calibrated measuring equipment is used for performing inspectionsQualifications and Requirements:Minimum Five years' experience of dimensional tolerance inspection (Y14.5).Must have GD&T knowledge and capable of reading and interpreting prints including geometric dimensioning and tolerancingAbility to program CMM inspections using the latest version of CalypsoMust be fully knowledgeable and proficient with inspection toolsAbility to multi-task and change priorities quicklyBe highly attentive to details, effectively work with peers based on set prioritiesBe an effective communicator and able to interact with other departments and managementEnsure safe work practices are applied and that work environment is equally safeFamiliar with ISO 9001 processes and proceduresSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
