Key Responsibilities of the Controller In this leadership role, you will oversee all financial functions, ensuring operational efficiency and providing strategic insights to the executive team. Your core duties will include: Accounting & Financial Oversight - Manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and financial reconciliations. Cash Flow & Treasury Management - Monitor bank accounts, manage reconciliations, and optimize cash flow strategies. Tax Compliance & Regulatory Reporting - Ensure adherence to tax laws, including sales and use tax compliance. Audit & Compliance Leadership - Coordinate external audits, implement strong internal controls, and ensure financial accuracy. Month-End Close & Financial Reporting - Oversee the month-end closing process, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Strategic Financial Planning - Provide insights through financial modeling and forecasting to support executive decision-making. Qualifications for the Controller Role The ideal candidate will bring strong financial expertise and leadership experience to the team. Education - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred). Certifications - CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable. Experience - Minimum of 5+ years of relevant accounting and financial management experience, including leadership responsibilities. Technical Skills - Proficiency in ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills - Ability to analyze financial data and implement process improvements.
