The Senior Accountant Role Reporting directly to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accountant will provide oversight of general ledger accounting and support financial reporting for the organization and its affiliates. Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant: Prepare and review monthly financial statements. Perform detailed balance sheet and subledger reconciliations. Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency. Develop and maintain audit schedules with supporting documentation. Mentor and lead junior accounting staff. Assist in tax preparation and regulatory filings for the organization. Support additional accounting and finance initiatives as assigned. Ideal Senior Accountant Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle general ledger experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP (nonprofit accounting experience is a plus!). Advanced proficiency in Excel. Excellent communication, analytical, and time management skills.
