"Very personal, great communication." Key Responsibilities of the Senior Staff Accountant Oversee month-end close processes and prepare financial statements. Submit monthly reports and necessary backup to corporate officers. Perform a variety of accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Labor Distribution, and Payroll. Monitor bank activity across multiple accounts and post cash receipts. Prepare and submit monthly bank reconciliations. Maintain fixed asset schedules and record depreciation expenses. Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and ensure accuracy. Complete General Ledger reconciliations for timely review by the Director of Finance and Accounting. As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards and supporting overall financial operations. The Senior Staff Accountant will also play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and assisting in corporate decision-making. Experience & Qualifications for the Senior Staff Accountant Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited four-year college. Experience: Minimum 5+ years of accounting, finance, and business experience. Technical Skills: IntermediateAdvanced Excel and Word proficiency. Experience with Costpoint is a plus. Knowledge of ADP Payroll is a plus. Familiarity with DOD accounting is a plus. Experience in filing local and state taxes (sales tax, income tax) is a plus.
