Accessioning Manager

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for an Accessioning Manager. The Accessioning Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of specimen accessioning processes, including sample labeling, data entry, and quality control. The role involves coordinating with laboratory processes and appropriate departments to ensure quality and efficiency are regularly met.This position is responsible for the direct oversight of the overall operations of pre-analytical operations consisting of the training of all personnel, compliance training, monitoring quality of the department, monitor and improve productivity and maintaining HIPAA. The laboratory is located in Central New Jersey.Responsibilities:Daily operations of departmentDirectly supervise, train and mentor senior staff and supervisorsResearch and resolve any escalated production issuesProduces metrics regarding daily workflow and maintain consistent resultsVerifying all processes from sample delivery to laboratory operations for accuracyOversee safety of the departmentImplement Standard Operating Procedures for Specimen Processing in line with all CLIA, CAP and NYS regulations.Requirements:Bachelor degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Medical Technology)A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, as a Supervisor in a clinical laboratoryMust be familiar with specimen handling in a laboratory setting and all pre-analytical componentsHigh attention to detailExcellent computer skillsQualifications:Strong organizational and time management skillsAttention to detail and accuracy in data entryKnowledge of lab specimen handling proceduresExperience with laboratory information systems (LIS)Proficiency in Microsoft Office softwarePrevious experience in a medical laboratory setting
