Our success is driven by our employee-owners, and we're excited to have you be a part of it.The Impact You'll Have:As a Senior Structural Engineer in Alliant's Transportation Design group, you'll have the opportunity to lead the structural design effort on projects of varying scope and complexity throughout Minnesota and nationally. You will have the opportunity to work closely with MnDOT and contractors on high profile, local Design-Build (DB), Construction ManagerGeneral Contractor (CMGC), and traditional design projects. Utilize your technical expertise to design bridges, retaining walls, overhead sign structures, and other miscellaneous structures; compute and check design calculations; and oversee the development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Apply your management skills to develop and lead a team of engineers and technicians. Leverage your industry network to identify project opportunities, engage current and potential clients, and develop proposals.Responsibilities:As an experienced structural engineer at Alliant, you will independently apply structural engineering principles and techniques. Your excellent technical, written and oral communication skills will lend your expertise in writing proposals, scopes of work and preparing project budgets.
