Geographic Information System Specialist

RCS Staffing is seeking a talented, energetic, and self-motivated GIS Specialist with strong communication skills to join our clients team. This role involves developing and maintaining GIS applications, managing geographic data, and supporting engineering and construction management teams.The role is a full-time, direct hire, office based position in Lyndhurst, NJ. As a GIS Specialist, YOU will:Develop and maintain ArcGIS web applications and dashboardsReview projects completed by Technicians and InternsProvide Project Management supportCreate, maintain, and organize geographic and tabular data in various geodatabase settingsDeliver final static and interactive mapping outputsPerform fieldwork as needed in all weather conditionsSupport data digitization for municipal-wide projectsResearch information materials and data sourcesCollaborate with GIS Manager and SurveyGeospatial Department HeadProvide GIS support to Engineers, Planning Professionals, and Construction ManagersYOU are the ideal GIS Specialist candidate if you have:A Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field5+ years of experience in a GIS-specific roleProficiency in Esri products (ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcGIS Online, Field Maps, Survey123, Experience Builder, Dashboards)Experience with Microsoft Power AutomateFamiliarity with Microsoft Office Suite applicationsStrong communication, verbal, and technical writing skillsA valid driver's license (or the ability to obtain a NJ driver's license at the time of employment)Detail-oriented, analytical, proactive, and solution-focused mindsetIt's a BONUS if you have:Field experience using a GPS collection deviceAutoCAD or Civil3D experienceExperience interpreting land record data, deeds, and filed mapsInterest in pursuing GISP certificationWho We AreRCS Staffing is a certified Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) specializing in the recruitment of professionals for best-of-class companies throughout the United States.
