Job Title: Project ManagerLocation: New York, NY (Onsite)Employment Type: Contract (C2C)Duration: Long-termJob Overview:We is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the our client. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing large-scale workflow software application projects that improve efficiency and efficacy within the client's business teams. These applications support critical operations, including permitting, inspections, roadway repair, bridge maintenance, and street sign management.Key Responsibilities:Oversee multiple medium to large-scale projects with distinct deliverables and multiple work streams.Act as the primary point of contact for the requesting agency regarding project status, meetings, reporting, scope changes, and technical issues.Lead in-house and consultant development teams to ensure successful project execution.Define project scope, develop schedules, monitor budgetscosts, and track deliverables.Apply project management best practices for high-complexity strategic and tactical projects.Monitor project activities and resources to mitigate risks and ensure timely delivery.Supervise programming staff engaged in application development and IT projects.Maintain quality assurance processes and oversee compliance with SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, RUP).Communicate effectively with stakeholders, team members, and senior management to ensure alignment on project goals and execution.Utilize project management tools such as MS-Project, Project Server, Jira, Primavera, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Visio.Implement change management plans, review project performance metrics, and generate status reports.Identify project risks, potential conflicts, and issues to mitigate project performance impacts.Ensure on-time and on-budget completion of assigned projects.Mandatory Qualifications:Minimum 10 years of experience in overseeing medium to large-scale projects.Proven expertise in managing teams of 15+ members and delegating assignments efficiently.Strong knowledge and experience in project budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.Experience working with government agencies or in public sector IT projects.Skilled in handling financial, administrative, and technical issues related to project management.Desired Qualifications:Master's Degree in Management, Engineering, or Technology (preferred).PMP Certification in Project Management.Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.Ability to lead multiple work streams and establish strong working relationships with peers and stakeholders.Knowledge of at least one programming language and platform.Experience with GIS tools and map integration.Familiarity with WirelessMobileDisconnected architecture applications.Previous experience working with asset management systems.Experience in federal, state, or local government projects.Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.Hands-on experience with project management tools (MS-Project, Jira, Primavera, Azure DevOps, etc.).Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.Ability to analyze and suggest technology solutions based on business needs.Experience in managing large-scale information systems.
