Quality Control Technician-Night Shift

Around the world, the additives of BYK ensure that coatings and plastics precisely obtain the desired properties and the correct quality.We're looking for a highly motivated, experienced QC Lab Technician to join our production team!Excellent Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefit plans eligible to enroll within 30 days of hireAnnual Merit increases, Bonuses, and 401K Discretionary company match up to 5%!Opportunity for advancement and training opportunities for all employees.Night Shift: $22hour + $2 Shift DifferentialPosition Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for the timely sampling and analysis of raw materials and for timely analysis of finished goods; documenting results of analyses on Laboratory records and computer mainframe.Operates all Laboratory equipment.Keeps Quality control Supervisor informed of any problems.Maintains a clean LabDisposes of old samples in the correct manner.Maintains Laboratory in Regulatory Compliance under direction of Laboratory Supervisor.Must successfully complete RCRA training according to job function and the regulations.Must successfully complete DOT Awareness training.Participates in emergency response as defined in the program and training capabilityHandles hazardous waste according to procedure.Follows emergency response procedures.Ability to work within ISO requirementsFamiliarity with BYK QC lab operation and information flowAbility to exercise some product QC judgment and to recognize QC problemsAbility to operate titrators and, under direction, perform simple titration parameter changesQualifications:High School diploma and experience in production or laboratory operations, or other applicable experience or educationBasic Math and data entry skillsSome familiarity with BYK chemical operationsDemonstrated good communication skillsDemonstrated ability to follow directionsDemonstrated initiativeDemonstrated self-motivationDemonstrated willingness to work all shifts and occasional overtime as requiredKnowledge & Skills:Data entry skillsOperate and perform normal maintenance on all QC lab equipmentCapability to interpret sample dataCommunicate effectivelyDemonstrate ability to follow directionsAbility to apply knowledge of QC analytical methods.
