Certification Details BLS ACLS NRP Advanced AWHONN Job Details A hospital in California is looking for an experienced L/D nurse for a travel contract. The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience. Job Requirements Hold an active BLS certification. Hold an active ACLS certification. Hold an active NRP certification. Hold an Advanced AWHONN certification. Hold a current CA RN License. Schedule Information 12 hours shifts; 7a - 7p/7p - 7a Usually every other weekend (same as perm staff). 1/2 hour break (clock-out); 3 - 15 min breaks per shift (CA Law). Unit Specific Information Closed Unit--No floating Nights, EOW, first to float Additional Details NO FIRST TIME TRAVELERS CERNER IS REQUIRED! Unit: L & D # beds: 12 L & D and 6 triage beds Ratios: Per ACOG Guidelines (2:1) - MUST BE COMFORTABLE TAKING 2 PATIENTS!! Charge Nurse: Yes, have around the clock--does NOT take patients Types of patients: High risk patients, some multiple births (up to triplets) Must be strong L&D! Have a lot of protocols in place to help with cares.
