Our Tier 1 Automotive Supplier Manufacturing client is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Quality Manager at their manufacturing facility in Columbus, OH. This role will primarily work onsite, with occasional travel up to 10% of the time. There is no remote work option for this role. Relocation assistance is available for qualified applicants that reside outside of commuting distance.ResponsibilitiesManages the Quality team of 20 employees with 4 direct reportsConduct comprehensive quality assurance activities to ensure the adherence of our product to strict industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality guidelines.Collaborate with the development and production teams to define quality metrics, conduct thorough testing, and identify potential areas for improvement in our manufacturing processes.Prepares for annual ISO9001:2015, IATF 16949 and 17025 certifications and auditsDevelop and maintain detailed documentation, including standard operation procedures, test protocols, and validation reports, to ensure clear and consistent quality control processes.Utilize statistical methods and tools to conduct process capability studies, gauge process stability, and implement effective statistical process control (SPC) measures.Lead investigations into non-conformity's and customer complaints, applying root cause analysis techniques to implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent re-occurrence.Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to assess and improve the quality management processes, ensuring the integrity of the supply chainFacilitate and support continuous improvement initiatives, participating in cross-functional teams to implement best practices and enhance overall product quality.Provide training and guidance to employees on quality-related processes and procedures, fostering a culture of quality awareness throughout the organization.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in quality management, incorporating new knowledge into our quality systems.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering or other related fieldFive years of Quality Management experience in Tier 1 Automotive Supplier ManufacturingIATF 16949 experience requiredMust have an understanding of ISO 17025 for oversight of metallurgical laboratoryMust have experience as a Lead Internal AuditorStrong leadership experienceSAP experience preferred, but not requiredExperience with stamping, forging or machining strongly preferred but not requiredSalary and BenefitsSalary range $115,000 - $135,000 with a bonus of up to 10%Paid time offHealth, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance401k
