Our client, a leading food manufacturing company committed to producing high-quality products while maintaining strict safety, efficiency, and innovation standards, seeks a highly skilled Electrical Mechanic with strong electrical expertise and PLC troubleshooting experience to join our maintenance team on the 3rd shift.Job SummaryThe Electrical Mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong electrical background, hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting, and proficiency in PLC troubleshooting. Candidates must be available to work 3rd shift and be open to overtime, including weekends and holidays as needed.Shift & Schedule3rd ShiftMust be available for overtime, including weekends and holidays, as required.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, automated production equipment, and machinery.Diagnose and resolve PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) issues, including troubleshooting for Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar systems.Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to identify and fix stall, repair, and maintain motors, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), sensors, relays, switches, and industrial control systems.Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E electrical safety standards, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.Work closely with maintenance and production teams to enhance plant performance.Test, calibrate, and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure optimal functionality.Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation of work performed.Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and plant improvement projects.Required Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting (food manufacturing preferred).Strong working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).Expertise in industrial electrical systems, including 480V 3-phase power, control circuits, and low-voltage systems.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.Experience working with automation systems, sensors, HMIs, and industrial networks.Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and megohmmeters.Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.Must be able to work the 3rd shift and be available for overtime, including weekends and holidays.Technical certification or an associate degree in electrical or industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.Licensed or certified in Industrial Electrical Maintenance (a plus).Physical RequirementsAbility to lift 50 lbs and perform tasks that involve standing, climbing, bending, and working in confined fortable working in a fast-paced, high-temperature, and noisy environment typical of food pensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on prehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO.Shift differentials and overtime pay.Training and career advancement opportunities within the company.
