To this end, Honda strives to realize "the joy and freedom of mobility" by developing new technologies and an innovative approach to achieve a "zero environmental footprint." We are looking for qualified individuals with diverse backgrounds, experiences, continuous improvement values, and a strong work ethic to join our team. If your goals and values align with Honda's, we want you to join our team to Bring the Future! Job PurposeDesign processes for Assembly department that are safe and efficient.  Use analytical tools and traditional industrial engineering methods to optimize department production functions. Key AccountabilitiesUse Maynard Operation Sequence Technique to develop balanced processes across manufacturing areas.  Work to achieve high Process Efficiency.  Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques.  Design processes that are simple and achieve Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale targets.Audit and maintain big data to ensure accurate information across all Operations standards  Perform time estimates for Production Processes, equipment loads, and develop Operation StandardsAssembly Department Lead for Process Data Development and Analysis, Manufacturing Data Reporting System, Electronic Operation Standards systemsRegularly lead meetings with other Honda functional groups to develop and launch improvement themes (Quality, Safety, Delivery, Production, Purchasing, Packaging, or Logistics).Identify opportunities to reduce waste within the process and improve efficiency. Apply 5S work methods, workstation design, and set best practices for production.Evaluate and implement ergonomic countermeasures to prevent associate injury.Support New Model Events. Forecast design impact to department.  Incorporate change points into process design. Identify concerns and countermeasure before mass production.Maintain accurate AutoCAD department layout.Develop Plans and Schedules for projects.  Set timelines and detailed activities. Hold meetings with cross functional engineering groups to ensure completeness.Project support for all items impacting Stamping Plastics Department Associate Process.Collect feedback from the production floor and address their concerns.Read Parts drawings, Spec Notices, 3D CATIA data.Create charts and presentations to report status and plans for key department metrics. Qualifications, Experience and SkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing etc.) or 8 years of related experience in engineering.2-8 years of experience based on educationCreating Business Plans Works to formulate plans and ensures that they are implemented Knowledge of manufacturing environmentKnowledge of engineering principles as it relates to areas of Quality & New ModelStrong relational skillsHigh-impact communication abilitiesProject management competencies.    WorkstyleFirst shift production hours.
