We are looking for a North America-based Key Account Manager (KAM) who will be responsible for strategically driving growth in our Mass Market Channel and cultivating new business development by identifying opportunities to expand business with existing accounts, as well as developing plans to enter new markets.The KAM has ownership to strategize, plan and launch various initiatives that will meet and exceed our sales and KPIs across our esteemed portfolio of brands, including Winsor & Newton, Liquitex, and Snazaroo. Location: Piscataway, NJ (hybrid) Salary: $90k-$100k (exact compensation may vary based on experience & skills)JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Mass Markets Key Account Manager plays a critical role in establishing, developing and driving business growth in key accounts within the mass market sector. This position requires a strategic and organized professional to embed an internal infrastructure that deals effectively within this fast-paced market, ensuring fit for purpose product offering, seamless operations sales growth and exceptional client service.The KAM will be an advocate of our company values: Passion, Quality, Agility and Accountability.Responsibility focuses on:Providing leadership, partnership, and primary point of contact for the customer - both internal and external,Providing timely, accurate and in-depth analytics on account performance,Achieving growth for Colart's portfolio of brands by developing, agreeing, and executing strategies that focus both on push and pull activities,Growing distribution of the core fine art branded portfolio through both permanent planogram space and seasonal displays.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Internal Coordination & Set-up:Lead the identification of internal infrastructure and process requirements and oversee the implementation to effectively cater to the mass market sector.Coordinate with internal teams such as supply chain, production, marketing, and finance to align on account strategies and operational execution.Align with IT and other departments to facilitate the integration of necessary technology solutions that facilitate efficient account management and service delivery.2. Strategic Planning and Execution:Develop account strategies in line with larger organizational objectives and market trends.Prepare and present strategic account reviews and reports to senior management.Collaborate with the marketing team to create tailored promotional strategies and campaigns for key accounts.3. Account Development Conduct thorough market research and analysis to stay attuned to the competitive landscape and emerging trends with the aim of identifying New Business development opportunities that compliment brand activity.Develop push and pull channel strategies to deliver growth covering appropriate forecasting liaison, stock compliance, merchandising compliance, promotional plans, marketing spend and activities. Partner with the Account and challenge the Account to grow their business through account Brand goals and business plan as well as continually maximizing and managing ROI. Prepare annual account plans that maximize the potential growth of the retailer in line with the account strategy through annual Joint Business Plans and Terms agreements. 4. Account ManagementMonitor customer performance and implement account plans to maximize profit and volume performance as well as product range portfolio at retail. Own your customer value and volume numbers, providing short to long term corrective action.Provide timely reporting on account performance, trends, and risks, using data to inform strategy adjustments and ensure regular reviews of business performance, ROI, promotion strategies, opportunities, and competitor performance.Development and maintenance and performance plans of core lines, especially core color lines. Support Logistics on supply chain programs to drive delivery efficiency.Work with Key Accounts to gain retail sales information of not only Colart brands, but competitive brands National Account sells at retail.Terms Optimization: Advantaging, improving and policing gross to net deductions through appropriate "˜levers' (e.g.: terms, rebate, settlement and price increases).5. Promotional ActivityPartnering with other Channel Directors in promotional development and advertising to facilitate account activity.Drive and implement advertising and promotional plan, additionally gathering and maintaining historical results from these plansAnalyze and share results - highlighting ROI results and investment and best practice for future promotion.6. Retailer DigitalUtilizing omni-channel approach, work with Trade marketing to support, drive and elevate Colart within the retailer's digital footprint (web, social, rich media content and CRM).Explore synergies with Colart digital activities and implement appropriate plans with NA retailers in conjunction with marketing involvement.Form relationships with key digital personnel at the customer.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
