Job Description: Client, located in Indianapolis, IN is searching for an energetic and highly motivated candidate to join its Electrical Hardware Engineering organization for DOD applications. The Senior Electrical Engineer will contribute to the design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules, FPGAs, microcontrollers, andor CCAs for a variety of DoD applications. The qualified candidate possesses general familiarity with all aspects of circuit card design. Responsibilities: Experience with any of the following sub-disciplines of particular interest: digital and mixed signal design, configurable logic (FPGAfirmware) design, RF design and power electronics design. The successful candidate is one who can participate in a multi-disciplined team and properly apply engineering tools and processes. This position requires frequent use of technical standards, principles, concepts, and techniques that candidates apply to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Successful candidates work in a fast-paced, team-based, and challenging technical environment where an individual with talent and initiative can stand out and thrive under general supervision. Candidates must exhibit a high degree of initiative and sound judgment, working independently and as a member of the Electrical Hardware Development Team. It is essential the individual be capable of adapting to changing conditions and work cooperatively in a team environment. The candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite; routine communication will occur through MS Teams, OneNote, Azure DevOps, Excel, and e-mail. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years Engineering design experience and a bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field, or a master's degree with relevant internship experience A self-motivated and effective communicator Ability to take a design concept from the block diagram or requirements level and develop a complete hardware design, and verifying via test and integration Experience with PCB design tasks and proven ability to use tools to design (schematic capture), analyze and simulate designs prior to hardware execution Capable of functioning in multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects Must be a self-starter, a quick learner, and be able to function in a dynamic environment, and have good time management skills Proficient in digital circuit card design Competent in circuit analysis Competent in COTS integration Key Skills Experience: Ability to take a design concept from the block diagram requirements level and develop a complete hardware design, and verifying via test and integration Experience PCB Design tasks and proven ability to use tools to design, analyze, and simulate designs prior to hardware execution Experience with the defense industry and embedded electronics 6-12 years of experience Desired Skills: Current DoD Secret level security clearance Experience using Altium Design Suite Experience in the development and design of electronic circuit designs, multi-assembly systemunit design, and processor designs Team and project leadership skills Experience with embedded test techniques, design for test, design margin analysis and design for production Experience with military specifications or similar (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464) Design experience with environmental and electro-magnetic interference (EMI) concerns Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related STEM field, or a master's degree with relevant internship experience We offer attractive, competitive compensation and benefits including, medical, dental, 401k, short-term disability, AD&D, tuition reimbursement, and more.
