The role holder will co-ordinate and attend due diligence meetings across all strategies including equity longshort, statistical, systematic, convertible, merger arbitrage, trading, macro, credit, fixed income, mortgages, private credit, and UCITS and across private equity fund structures including co-investments and secondary funds, focused on the Americas market. The Associate - Fund Manager Research will attend the alternative investment committee and global research committee which is responsible for determining the alternative funds that are eligible for investment across HSBC. It is anticipated that the position will include about 20% travel.As our Associate Fund Manager you will:Write and review detailed reports containing comprehensive information and analysis related to the business and operational environment at the hedge funds, private equity funds and real estate funds and ensure that there is ongoing monitoring completed on all investments for the platform (circa 500 investments)Assist in the ODD process across all approved alternative funds, and will work with other areas of HAIL and AMG, legal, IT, compliance, risk, middle office etcConduct ESG analysis and compile ESG scorecard and assessment reports for investments on the platformThe role holder will be included in the research for foreign markets to assess regulatory and tax issues involving tradingestablishing a local presence in those marketsThe role holder will be involved in special projects which include system implementations, enhancements of proprietary systems, financial crime and compliance frameworks for investments, and regulatory initiatives. Assisting with the coverage of the operational risk of all approved funds across hedge funds, private equity and real estateParticipate in client meetings and pitches for prospective clients and present at oversight forums within the bank.For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $113,900.00 and $170,800.00The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensingcertification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.At HSBC, our overall goal is to provide a competitive Total Reward Package, with an appropriate mix of fixed pay, and variable pay, as part of an employee's overall total compensation and benefits.
