Ask about our $1000.00 Inspire a Friend referral program! Key Responsibilities:Job Responsibility: • Administer radiopharmaceuticals (radioactive tracers) to patients according to physician orders. Ensure the correct dosage and route of administration. • Perform a variety of imaging procedures, including PET (Positron Emission Tomography), SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography), and other diagnostic imaging techniques, to capture high-quality images of internal organs and tissues. • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about the process. Explain procedures clearly and provide reassurance to ease any anxiety. • Operate and maintain complex imaging equipment, including gamma cameras, PET scanners, and CT machines. Perform routine equipment checks and report any malfunctions. • Ensure accurate and precise imaging by following all protocols and safety standards. Review images for quality and consistency before submitting them for interpretation by radiologists or nuclear medicine physicians. • Adhere to safety guidelines to protect both patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure. Maintain appropriate records of radiopharmaceuticals, radiation exposure, and patient data. • Work with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and assist in the diagnosis and treatment planning for patients. • Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging results, treatment details, and any relevant patient information. Ensure all records are properly stored and confidential. • Stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
