Travel MRI Technologist - $2,452 per week

Certification Details ARRT Certification Active CPR certification Job Details Reporting to the Assistant Manager of Ambulatory CT/MRI or MRI Assistant Manager and according to Radiologist's directions and established procedures, operates magnetic resonance imaging scanner to obtain images for use by physicians for the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Positions patients for procedure, administers injections of contrast media, operates scanners to visualize pathologies, manipulates images to create optimal studies, distributes images to the PACS system and may reproduce images on alternate media as necessary. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served. Job Requirements 12 months prior experience in a medical imaging department in order to gain familiarity with imaging procedures, techniques and methods. Graduate of an approved school/program of Radiologic Technology. Possesses current ARRT certification(s). Schedule Information May be required to support the Level I Trauma Center by providing 24/7 coverage while on duty or by taking call. Unit Specific Information May conduct QA testing on MRI equipment using phantoms and the like to ensure optimal image quality and maintain compliance with third party, ACR or Joint Commission accreditation requirements.
