Telecom Network Engineer - Fiber & Circuit Management

We are hiring for Disconnect Engineer in Rolling Meadows, IL office (onsite 2x per week).Transport Engineer (Engr Transport II) position with a focus on fiber-based uplift projects. This role will involve managing circuit disconnect orders, collaborating with engineers, and working closely with vendors and internal teams to optimize the transport network.Key highlights of the position:Location: Rolling Meadows, IL office (onsite 2x per week).Key Responsibilities:Submit and manage circuit disconnect orders.Audit and update the Canvas (CND) database and FUZE system.Work with multiple engineers to support fiber design for new and existing technologies.Evaluate and optimize the transport network (fronthaul, backhaul, microwave).Focus on reducing telecom costs by disconnecting unused circuits and managing telco vendor relationships.Support new cell site and MSC growth projects.Required Skills:Experience with LIT ethernet and dark fiber circuits.Proficiency in using circuit management databases like Canvas (CND).Knowledge of technologies like Ericsson baseband, Ciena 5164, and Nokia IXRe.Experience with documentation, project planning, and vendor management.Additional Qualities:Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proactive and self-motivated.Ability to work independently.Experience with tools like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.What you didn't know about us:Competitive salaryHealth, Dental and Vision BenefitsShortLong Term Disability and CriticalCareIllness ProtectionLife Insurance and Retirement PlansEmployee Assistance ProgramWith this position, you will get the opportunity to work with our game changing clients and further advance your already valuable experience in the telecom industry!We are Connectors.
