Certification Details Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Job Details Job Summary: Surgical technologists prepare the operating room, including the sterile field, setting up surgical equipment, supplies and solutions. During surgery, they pass instruments, fluids and supplies to the surgeon and prepare and manage surgical equipment. They also manage the sterile field and specimens, and perform a count of sponges and supplies to prevent foreign retained objects. Job Requirements Ortho & Total Joint Experience and Proficiency (3+) is Required. Must be willing to float to the Main OR. Prefer at least 3 years experience. Schedule Information 4-10hr shifts 6:30a - 5:00p No call or weekends No second shift so a number system is used to determine who stays with the later cases.
