TransGrid has a robust pipeline of projects under construction and in late-stage development, and the Company is actively expanding its energy asset portfolio across the United States.As an affiliate company of Hanwha Group, a FORTUNE Global 500 company driven by a firm commitment to advancing the clean energy future, TransGrid Energy is striving to shape the renewable energy landscape by providing sustainable and reliable power solutions tailored to meet the energy needs of today and tomorrow.POSITION OVERVIEWTransGrid Energy is seeking an ambitious and passionate Battery Storage Technical Manager to join our Team and will be responsible for managing all technical aspects of TGE's BESS portfolio and contracting strategies.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and manage the ESS project technical concept and specifications from early stage to completion and lead technical and commercial negotiations of LTSAs ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations.Review and provide recommendations and develop specifications on technical components of project contracts (EPC Agreements, Procurement Contracts, PPA, Interconnection Agreements,Long Term Service Agreements, O&M Agreements, etc.).Manage all BESS commissioning activities performed by external partners confirming contractual obligations are met.Certify BESS performance during operation meets all contractual requirements.Ensure BESS contracts comply with all ISO, Utility, NERC, and other relevant standardsentities.Identify and mitigate risks associated with battery storage operations and installations including technical, financial, and regulatory risks.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, service providers, and customers.Review submittals from contractors including technical specifications, scope of work, schedule, project description, and design packages.Lead the BESS technical tasks in preparation of EPC agreement, Exhibits, and the review of potential project acquisition opportunities.Lead and supervise in field with site visits as needed, testing, commissioning and start-up of constructed power plants.Act as the primary point of contact with battery manufacturers.Maintains continuous improvements in project designs, plans, processes and product development.Lead and supervise as needed, testing, operating and maintenance for assets.Manage the technical obligations according to PPA and IA.Coordinate internal resources for subject matter expertise and project risk reduction.Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSA bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum of 10 years of professional engineering experience in the utility scale battery energy storage system and solar industry.Relevant work experience in the design and development of battery storage facilities.Experience with AutoCAD (or equivalent).Experience with analysis tools for ESS operation.Knowledge of the National Electric Code and IEEE.Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Gantt charts (MS Project or equivalent)Strong in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience in permitting processes with local authorities having jurisdiction is preferred.WORK AUTHORIZATIONThe ideal candidate for this role will have authorization to work in the US prior to joining TransGrid Energy LLC.
