JOB DESCRIPTION**Highly preferable candidates from ESTCST zones*Education and Experience Requirements:• BSEE or BSEET degree with a focus in electrical power and power distribution.• Understands regulations applicable to area of expertise and works to ensure compliance (NEC, NFPA, etc.) Incorporates safety and risk analysis into equipment designs• Proficient in use of AutoCAD.• Co-Op andor intern experience dealing with electrical infrastructure equipment and troubleshooting.• Ability to use electrical test meters, PC's andor schematics to troubleshoot electrical equipmentinfrastructure.• Proficient with MS Office applications.• Must have 2+ Years Experience as an Electrical EngineerThis position is in the Electrical & Controls Engineering Department within Workplace Services Division (WPS) and is focused on delivering reliable electrical distribution to the customers of the WPS Division to enable research, development and engineering programs in support of the Innovation process.Become a leader in troubleshooting, process improvement, new equipment installation and documentation of electrical infrastructure and process equipment.Major Responsibilities:• Learn & understand electrical infrastructure & equipment functions in area of responsibility.• Ability to assist in troubleshooting electrical infrastructure equipment, systems and processes when required to ensure uninterrupted customer supply.• Develops and uses project plans and timelines to achieve project goals without sacrificing safety, intellectual property, or quality. Adhere to all Corporate, Business Unit, and Site guidelines for same.• Works with Quality and Engineering to document repairschanges made to equipment andor electrical infrastructure.• Identifies critical spare parts to have on-hand to prevent extended downtime.• Participates in required PPA's and electrical shutdowns.• Ability to assist in troubleshooting to the component level.• Work closely with union trades, subcontractors and across all levels and organizations.• Self-starter and motivated to complete the task at hand.• Ability to multi-task.Working Conditions:• Exposure to medium voltage electrical infrastructure systems.• Adherence to plant safety requirements, OSHA, NFPA and NEC guidelines as applicable.• Safety glasses, safety-toed shoes, hard hat, fire-retardant clothing, hearing protection and clean room attire required in applicable areas.Desired Skills:• Displays a bias for action in situations of uncertainty, with pro-active attention to issues and problems.• Translates engineering solutions to requirements, then further to process andor equipment designs which deliver all required and promised performance criteria.• Determines and recommends best solution from a series of alternatives within site specifications.• Thoroughly carries out assignments to completion.• Works well in a team environment, is a "self-starter" and "results oriented".• Communicates effectively in various settings to provide and present necessary information to Project, Department, and Site leaders.Travel Requirements:• Minimal (0-5%).Hours of work:EEO: "Mindlance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of - MinorityGenderDisabilityReligionLGBTQIAgeVeterans."
