Our Houston client, an award-winning wealth management firm, is on the lookout for a dedicated Wealth Manager to join their team. Specializing in financial planning and tax services for corporate executives and professionals, this fee-only firm prides itself on its positive company culture and commitment to work-life balance.As the Wealth Manager, you will take the lead on client relationships, overseeing the preparation and implementation of financial plans and investment strategies independently. Supported by a top-notch financial analysis team, you'll conduct Financial Planning Reviews and provide ongoing guidance and advice to clients throughout the year.ResponsibilitiesLead client meetings, present plans and investment performance, debrief and assign appropriate actions to teamLeads the management of client cases, taking full ownership and responsibility for all client contact, including review of meeting agendas, client correspondence, and quarterbacking all tasks to completionLead prospective client meetings set by business development, gather data, deepen relationships, present firm's value offering and close new business (You do not need to self-source your own leads). Prepare comprehensive financial plans, reports and client presentationsImplement financial plans and investment strategiesRespond directly to client communications and requestsAttend weekly Wealth Management prep meetings and bi-weekly Department meetingsOversee the preparation of materials from other team members in advance of client meetingsInput data, analyze, and present output from financial planning softwareUnderstand the emotional aspects of finances and counsel clients appropriatelyQualificationsBachelor's degree in finance, Business, Accounting or Financial Planning requiredMaster's or Graduate degree strongly preferred (master's in finance, JD, MBA)Five or more years of experience in financial services industry requiredConfident, poised and professional in appearanceAbility to take on creative challenges and manage workload on tight deadlinesAbility to collaborate and contribute to a team environmentCFP®, CFA®, or CPA designation preferred Currently possess or pursuing the Series 65 securities license, to be licensed within 90 days after employmentStrong technical and interpersonal skillsBenefits401k plan with opportunity to earn up to 7% the first year and up to 10% with tenure.Opportunities to buy into and become owners in the firm over time.Employers pays HealthDentalVision insurance premiums for individuals and families.Employer HSA contributions.Flexibility to work from where you are most comfortable; at home or in the office, except for required client and department meetings.Salary range: $120,000-150,000year plus quarterly - bonuses based on company and personal performance.
