Field EngineerAbout the RoleAs a Field Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the construction team on utility-scale solar + BESS EPC projects. Working closely with the site manager, field supervision, and project management team, you will contribute to the successful execution of the project by coordinating documentation, tracking progress, and assisting in project planning.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and manage project documents, drawings, permits, and reports from project initiation to completion, ensuring proper organization on the shared construction cloud drive.Collect on-site data and generate reports for review.Track and submit weekly production and productivity reports.Attend and coordinate field meetings with clients and stakeholders to discuss schedules and project progress.Collaborate with the Field Superintendent, General Foreman, Foremen, and Project Manager to provide schedule updates.Assist in preparing RFIs, change orders, and cost estimates with input from the Superintendent.Identify and document Out of Scope work or Changes in Conditions requiring RFIs, ensuring proper notifications are sent.Track and monitor as-builts Work with the Project Manager and Scheduler to update project schedules.Prepare internal project budgets and maintain a thorough understanding of costs and budget thresholds.Provide field teams with production and productivity data, material tracking, and other administrative support.Summarize and track time and material paperwork to ensure proper documentation.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or working toward a Construction or Project Management degree (preferred).Renewables experience required if no degree.Background in construction or a strong desire to learn the construction industry.Skills & AbilitiesProficiency in MS Office Suite, BlueBeam, and web-based applications.Strong initiative and ability to work independently.Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).Ability to adapt to changing job requirements in a fast-paced environment.Dependable and punctual for all CSI activities.Team player with leadership potential.Customer-focused approach with a positive attitude.Ability to collaborate effectively with field crews.Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
