Lead Property Caretaker

ROLEThe Lead Property Caretaker will be responsible for overseeing the care of a private residence and surrounding property, consisting of multiple houses, outbuildings, and working hobby farm. The responsibilities of the Lead Property Caretaker will include coordinating and executing the care and maintenance tasks of the buildings and property, including oversight of a team of employees and contractors. The Lead Property Caretaker role is a full-time, salary-exempt position. The primary work location for this position is in Ada, MI. The ideal candidate is a dedicated leader with a strong work ethic who is proactive, attentive to meticulous detail, thrives in a hands-on work environment and can balance multiple priorities.RESPONSIBILITIES Manage weekly, monthly, and annual routines according to the usage of the propertySchedule and oversee the Property staff in executing daily buildings and property maintenance tasks, contributing to the completion of these tasks Develop intimate working knowledge of the buildings, property, and systemsManage preventative maintenance schedules for all buildings, systems and equipment, updating as necessary, and accurately documenting all maintenance itemsConduct regular and in-depth interior and exterior maintenance inspections throughout the buildings and property, reporting and responding to findings as appropriateCoordinate with the HouseholdProperties Manager to oversee major repairs with appropriate contractors, ensuring successful and satisfactory completion Arrange and monitor regular vendor services for the property and building interiors and exteriorsAssist with coordinating and executing special projects, including events held on the properties REQUIREMENTSProperty Management experienceGeneral knowledge and basic skill level in trades such as HVAC, plumbing, appliances, landscaping, etc. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, approaching all interactions with a servant's heartHigh attention to detail, organization, and follow-through of routinesAbility to lift 30 pounds to a maximum height of 6 feet, including occasional lifting up to 80 poundsAbility to stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and remain standing and walking on feet for lengthy periods of timeAbility to safely operate power machinery and lawn care toolsAbility to work outdoors in all types of weather conditionsOther RequirementsResponsibilities of the Lead Property Caretaker are conducted in a private residence.
