At Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts (GSEMA), we foster a powerful all-girl space that values collaboration over competition, inspiring girls to turn their dreams into reality.The Human Resources Coordinator will play a key role in collaboratively supporting the Director of Human Resources (HRD), Director of DEIRJ and Talent Acquisition and Management, and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) in fostering a positive and inclusive employee experience. This role is vital in promoting and supporting a collaborative, transparent culture where all employees can thrive and grow, in alignment with GSEMA's mission to empower Girl Scouts to make the world a better place.As a hands-on HR partner across the GSEMA, the HR Coordinator will ensure the accurate and timely management of benefits, support talent acquisition and management initiatives, and streamline HR processes for greater efficiency. Additional opportunities include contributing to HR projects such as enhancing onboarding practices, refining performance management systems, and advancing other key infrastructure initiatives aimed at improving and enhancing the overall employee experience.This position will have a hybrid work arrangement with combination of work from home and at designated GSEMA offices (2-3 days per week). May also involve work activities on properties, designated sitesevents and community locations as needed. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required to meet the needs of the department.Explore Key Responsibilities:Benefits Administration: Support benefits enrollment and administration, including new hire enrollment, terminations, COBRA, coverage changes, addressing employee questions, billing and claim processing and reconciliation, and support of the annual open enrollment process. Talent Acquisition: Manage job postings and support interview scheduling; may assist in resume review, phone interviews and reference checking.Onboarding and Offboarding: Support pre-hire and termination steps including offer confirmation, background checks, benefits enrollment and terminations, IT setup, systems training and organizational orientation.Workers' Compensation: Manage the Workers Compensation (WC) program, including reporting, tracking and follow up for all staff throughout the year, including summer c attend annual Workers' Compensation training and serve on the Safety Committee.Risk Management and Compliance: Process employee verification and background checks including CORI, SORI, and National Background checks; manage the period renewal process. Maintain accurate, complete and organized paper and electronic confidential personnel files and various other Human Resource documentation in compliance with applicable legal requirements.Administrative & Operational: Perform general day-to-day administrative support services for HR department including but not limited bill processing, updating organizational charts, HRIS data entry and supporting annual audits.Process Improvement: Partner with the HR team to evaluate and modernize current processes focusing on transitioning to paperless systems and modernization, and streamlining munications: In conjunction with the CHRO, develop and produce monthly a monthly HR Employee Experience Newsletter by identifying, organizing and writing both regular and new content.Customer Service: Provide responsive employee support by monitoring and responding to the daily HR InboxOther duties as assigned Essential Skills and Qualifications:Education: Minimum of an associate's degree or certificate in Human Resources; bachelor's degree preferred.Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of progressive human resources experience; recruiting andor benefits administration in a non-profit organization is a plus. Experience supporting organizational development initiatives is also beneficial.Discretion: Ability to work in an environment requiring a high level of confidentiality and good judgement when handling sensitive information.Technical Proficiency: Proficient in use of Microsoft Windows and Office Software; Hands-on experience working in an HRIS system, preferably ADP Workforce Now.
