About the JobA Group Benefits Account Manager is a professional responsible for assisting Producer(s) and Account Executive(s) with maintaining, servicing and production of new and renewal Group Benefit accounts. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their specific needs and requirements regarding Group Benefits.Duties and Responsibilities, includeResponsible for all aspects of renewal business including; marketing, spread sheeting, plan changes, administrative issues, open enrollment preparation and meetingsResponsible for all aspects of new client prospects including; enrollment package, application processing, follow-ups and materials to client and meetings to discuss new plansPrepare and work on special Group Benefit projects.Attend seminars to become knowledgeable about current Group Benefit marketsAttend training sessions to become knowledgeable in other aspects of the Group Benefit business such as COBRA, Wellness programs, HSA's and Self-Funded accountsAct as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve any client service issuesOpen Enrollment meetingsEnsure group Affordable Care Act(ACA) complianceRequirements and Experience Illinois Life and Health license, Required5+ years of Large Group Benefit experience, Required (+50 Lives)Fully funded and self-funded insurance experience, RequiredKnowledge and SkillsDemonstrated proficiency with Applied Systems EPIC Demonstrated knowledge of benefits administration platforms, Ease, Employee NavigatorProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power PointExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong interpersonal skills to effectively build and maintain client relationshipsGood organizational skills, with high attention to detailAbility to multi-task and handle a large volume of items simultaneouslyAbility to prioritize and work independentlyAbility to work in a team environment
