The Health and Safety Coordinator must have strong leadership capabilities and be willing to respond quickly to emergency situations that may expose them to environmental aspects and health and safety risks. · Administer employee COVID-19 Contact Tracing · Assist the EH&S manager with the development and implementation of health and safety related improvement projects.· Complete New Hire Safety orientation tours.· Participate as a member of the First Responder Team and ensure the Emergency Action Plan is followed in the event of an emergency including but not limited to spills, fire, injuries, earthquake response, evacuations, power outages, etc.· Complete daily walkthroughs per the facility walkthrough checklist to ensure conformance with EH&S program requirements, employee health and safety, and good housekeeping practices are followed.· Complete weekly, monthly, and quarterly safety equipment inspections for AED's, first aid kits, eyewash stations, spill kits, etc.· Complete Incident reports for non-injury incidents and near-misses.· Assist with completing investigations and root cause analysis for inspection and audit findings, near-misses, injuries, and incidentsaccidents.· Assist with implementing corrective and preventative actions.· Enter incident reports, inspection findings, near-misses, etc. into the applicable CAPA or Incident Report Log. Assist with updating and maintaining CAPA and Injury Report Logs on SharePoint.· Assist with performing Internal Audits.· Provide training to the workforce upon request.· Participate in Health and Safety Meetings. Essential Functions· Ability to take necessary steps to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.· Participate in manufacturing meetings to discuss workplace safety and regulatory concerns and opportunities.· Actively role model all company environmental, health and safety standards.· Establish and maintain effective relationships with Operations, Managers, Supervisors and employees.· Keep the EHS Manager up to date on matters relating to, environmental, health and safety.· Special projects as required. PrerequisitesQualifications· Minimum 2 years' experience within an EHS role.· OSHA 40 Hour Certification Other Qualifications· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.· Operate as a team andor independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements.· Capable of multi-functional assignments.· Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office applications· Ability to be on call or work off hours as needed· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.· Demonstrated ability to work independently with attention to detail and organizational abilities· Superior analytical problem solving, written and verbal communications· This job requires the ability to be on your feet walking around the facility, indoors and out, at least 20% of the day. Additional requirements include climbing laddersstairs and lifting as required to perform necessary job tasks.
