We distribute in more than 110 countries through leading retailer private labels, as well as under our own brands.Position DetailsSchedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pmLocation: Stokesdale, NCDepartment: OperationsReports To: Continuous Improvement ManagerSupervises: 0-2 Indirect ReportsJob PurposeWe are seeking a Junior Process Engineer to drive process stability and continuous improvement within our Autonomous Manufacturing Unit (AMU). This role is crucial in optimizing production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and implementing lean manufacturing principles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and improving processes across 4-7 production lines, with a specific focus on diaper manufacturing operations. This position plays a vital role in achieving operational excellence and maintaining our high standards of quality and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Optimization and Quality Control:Drive process stability and product quality improvements across the AMUMonitor and analyze process stability programs, historical trends, and KPI dataLead root cause analysis on OEE losses (operational and performance)Execute and optimize productsize changeoversMaintain zero-accident safety standardsDocumentation and Standards:Develop and maintain process specifications, procedures, and work instructionsCreate and update operational standardsAudit standard application on the shop floorDocument and share best practices across AMUsContinuous Improvement:Implement Lean Manufacturing (OMEX) principlesDrive OEE improvement through data analysis and solution implementationParticipate in Capex projects, providing process expertiseLead waste elimination initiatives within the AMUTraining and Leadership:Train and mentor production staff on new processesShare best practices with Process Engineers from other AMUsProvide technical guidance to production teamsRequirementsTechnical Bachelor's degree2-3 years of manufacturing experienceMUST HAVE diaper manufacturing experience and knowledgeStrong mechanical and electrical aptitudeAdvanced computer skillsComprehensive understanding of lean manufacturing principlesExperience with OEE analysis and SMEDProven track record in process improvementPreferred QualificationsExperience with automated manufacturing systemsSix Sigma certificationProject management experienceExperience with quality management systemsBackground in hygiene product manufacturingProfessional CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent change management skillsInnovative thinking with ability to develop creative solutionsStrong leadership and mentoring capabilitiesEffective communication and presentation skillsAbility to work collaboratively across departmentsResults-oriented with strong project management skillsCommitment to safety and quality standardsIf you're a process-oriented professional with a passion for manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement, we invite you to apply and become a key player in our continued success!Ontex, USA Operations is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
