Welder/Fabricator

J & S Construction is looking to fill an immediate Opening for Full Time Welder Fabricator and great mechanical skills to join our shop team in Oswego Illinois. The ideal candidate will have 5+ year of work experience in WeldingMetal FabricationEquipment Maintenance.The applicant will need to be able to work safely, independently, and efficiently in a shop environment and be able to weld TIG, MIG and stick, operate plasma cutter, operate oxyacetylene torch, operate drills, grinders and other hand tools, accurately and precisely use measuring devices, lift 50+ lbs., read and understand English, be able to work a full time schedule Monday through Friday and be available for the possibility overtime, and have their own personal toolsRequired QualificationsEducation-· Ability to fabricate and weld necessary parts for a heavy construction fleet.· Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic vehicle repairs and maintenance.· Self-motivated, self-starter, who demonstrates the ability to manage time effectively.· Ability to work independently as well as within a team· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills· Highly organized, efficient, detail oriented and accurate.· Must be able to absorb suggestion and be accountable for performance.Work EnvironmentThis job operates primarily in a shop environment. This role routinely uses standard shop equipment such as lifts, hoists, cutting torches and welders along with various mechanic tools.
