Job Summary:As the Director of Human Resources Compliance, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing HR compliance within the organization. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our HR policies, procedures, and practices align with legal and regulatory requirements, thereby minimizing organizational risk and promoting a fair and equitable workplace environment. As a member of the Legal team and reporting directly to the VP & Deputy General Counsel -Labor and Employment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement compliance strategies and initiatives.Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and maintain HR compliance programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, and industry best practices.Stay abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations, and proactively assess their impact on company policies and practices.Conduct or oversee regular audits and assessments to identify areas of potential risk or non-compliance and develop and execute action plans to address any issues.Provide guidance and support to HR staff and business leaders on compliance-related matters, including equal employment opportunity, anti-discrimination laws, wage and hour regulations, and employee privacy rights.Partner closely with HR Business Partners, Employee Relations Specialists and HR Operations team members to ensure compliance policies and procedures are properly implemented and communicated within the HR team.Provide overall legal and compliance support to the Human Resources function at the direction of the VP and Deputy General Counsel, Labor and terpret laws and regulations and ensure that HR policies and practices are legally compliant.Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees and managers to promote awareness and understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors during HR compliance reviews and audits.Monitor and track compliance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior leaders, highlighting areas of concern and recommending corrective actions as needed.Lead special projects and initiatives related to HR compliance.Minimum Requirements:7+ years of experience leading HR compliance, with a strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.J.D. from an ABA-accredited nationally recognized law school.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:An active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.Proven track record of developing and implementing compliance programs and initiatives in a complex organizational environment.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess risks, develop effective mitigation strategies, and execute on those strategies.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization and simplify complex concepts.Demonstrates excellent judgment in situations where clarity is sometimes limitedDetail-oriented with a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
