Quality Supervisor

The third shift quality supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality control within a company, ensuring that products and services consistently meet established standards, comply with regulations, and satisfy customer requirements by leading a team of quality inspectors, conducting audits, identifying quality issues, and implementing corrective actions to maintain high product quality across the production process. Role and ResponsibilitiesSupervise, guide, evaluate, and assist subordinates in their daily performance by setting goals and objectives.Have practical knowledge and ability to train others in Statistical Quality Control and Statistical Process ControlAssists in the day-to-day operation of the lab as well as address issues accordingly.Maintains and coordinates total quality practices within the Quality Control Department.Will play significant role in day- to-day operations and will spend 95% of their time on the production floor working with technicians and plant personnel. Ability to work flexible hours based on company needsEnsures compliance with SQF and other relevant standards.Qualifications and Education Requirements Three plus years of experience in a food manufacturer and successful managementsupervisory experience.Preferred Skills Understands the importance of all quality aspects of the food industry including, but not limited to; personal GMP's, lot code tracking, product quality monitoring, audit records and recall procedureBilingual l (EnglishSpanish).Highly self-motivated with attention to detail.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Excellent verbal and written communication.Strong analyticalproblem solving skills with an aptitude for learning new technologies.Able to handle multiple tasks with capability of prioritizing and planning work activities.Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness with ability to improve and promote quality.Requirements Work Environment & Physical demandsProlonged periods of standing and walking throughout the workday. Frequently carry 10-30 Lbs.Travel RequiredThis position requires traveling to support operations at multiple Bakehouses in the surrounding Chicago suburbs. No overnight travel is required.
