Position: Vertex Implementation Engineer PositionLocation: Onsite: (San Francisco Bay Area)Duration: 6-12 months of contract with possible extensionDescription:Vertex Techno-Functional Consultant - Vertex Tax Implementation Engineer - SAP Finance and Vertex Expertise - This role is vital for optimizing our finance and tax operations, ensuring that they are efficient, compliant, and aligned with our strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of finance processes, coupled with expert-level skills in leveraging SAP for finance operations and Vertex for tax compliance and management.Responsibilities:Business Requirement Analysis: Engage closely with the finance and tax departments to gain a deep understanding of their processes, challenges, and objectives. Conduct detailed analysis to identify improvement and optimization opportunities.SAP and Vertex Solution Design: Design and recommend solutions using SAP for finance operations and Vertex for tax management that address identified business needs. Ensure these solutions are scalable, reliable, and efficient.Implementation and Configuration: Lead the implementation of SAP finance modules and Vertex tax management system, including system configuration, customization, and integration with existing business systems, ensuring alignment with business requirements.Testing and Validation: Manage testing activities to ensure the implemented solutions meet business needs without defects. Oversee user acceptance testing with the finance and tax teams.Training and Support: Develop and deliver training materials for the finance and tax teams on new systems and features. Provide ongoing support and expert advice to ensure effective utilization of SAP and Vertex systems.Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of finance and tax systems, identifying and resolving any issues to improve system efficiency and pliance and Best Practices: Guarantee that all financial and tax systems and processes adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and compliance records.Qualifications:5+ years of Vertex Tax and SAP Cloud Implementation Consultant of implementing and configuring Vertex tax solutions for different Legal Entities based in USAAt least 2 full life cycle of Implementation of Configuration and Customization of Vertex: Configure and customize SAP Finance modules and Vertex tax software to meet the unique tax requirements of each Legal Entity, including tax rules, rates, and exemptionsMust have 1+ years of Integration experience: Integrate Vertex tax solutions with existing ERP or financial systems for both Use Tax and Sales Tax, ensuring seamless data flow and accurate tax calculationsCollaboration: Work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure solutions align with business needs.Testing: Conduct thorough unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure the quality and stability of delivered solutions.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed objects and processes
