An international automotive component manufacturer in the Livonia, MI area is searching for an Engineering Manager responsible overseeing the engineering staff in the Product Engineering Department. This is a day shift position, full time and direct hire with benefits. Responsibilities:Manage engineering staff and assign daily tasksCollaborate with management team to ensure program goals are being metLead design reviews with product design teams membersOversee the implementation and adherence to quality standards, schedule goals and budgetingGain and maintain knowledge of commercial vehicle competitorsConsult with other internal departments in the sharing of technologies and objectivesAdhere to overall vehicle program schedulesWork with suppliers and other departments to achieve targeted schedulesRequirements:Bachelor of Science in EngineeringAt least 7 years of related automotive automotive product design experienceAt least 5 years of management experienceExperience with GD&T, FEA and DFMEAExperience with Siemens NX or similar CADCAM design systemsAbility to travel up to 25 percentStrong communication and organizational skillsActiv8 Recruitment & Solutions Renaissance Resources Inc., has been one of the leading recruiting firms in North America when it comes to working with Japanese Businesses for more than 20 years.
