Your work will directly impact how we deliver reliable, efficient, and scalable cloud solutions to support our business and customers. You will not only own critical infrastructure components but also drive improvements that enhance system performance, security, and the first 90 days, you will conquer the following:7-Day Goal: Foundation & Immediate Deep Dive Outcome: Establish a strong understanding of our infrastructure and workflows.Gain access to AWS, GitHub, ArgoCD, OpenSearch, and Prometheus.Review the K8sEKS stack for F1-Cloud, including configuration and ArgoCD.Outline a clear understanding of workflows, environments, and architecture.Make a presentation to the team demonstrating your understanding of our K8s setup and how a change might be made (e.g. scaling the number of pods).14-Day Goal: Workflow Deployment Improvement Outcome: Improve deployment workflows for better consistency and efficiency.Refactor one Glue deployment workflow to use tags and versioned releases with modules.Tackle a Jira task involving an infrastructure change, then submit a PR and deploy via GitHub Actions workflows.30-Day Goal: Kubernetes & CICD Ownership Outcome: Optimize Kubernetes cluster operations and improve security.Fully own and optimize Kubernetes (EKS) cluster operations, including pod scaling, auto-healing, and security hardening.Take ownership of one critical AWS service (e.g., Glue ETL jobs or EKS monitoring).Implement at least one IAM security improvement (e.g., refining role policies for AWS services or K8s RBAC).60-Day Goal: Improvements & Cost Optimization Outcome: Drive efficiency improvements and cost optimization.Optimize an infrastructure component by updating a Glue job schedule for better plete at least one task from our consulting partner that adds or updates infrastructure based on their requirements.Identify one major cost-saving initiative (e.g., rightsizing EKS nodes or Glue DPU tuning).Mentor a team member in DevOps best practices while leading them in at least one initiative.90-Day Goal: Full Ownership & Scaling Impact Outcome: Take full ownership of key infrastructure and lead DevOps initiatives.Own and lead a production deployment, including monitoring post-release and handling rollback strategies.Develop a plan to migrate from Azure APIM to AWS, including a Jira ticket with subtasks for implementation.Review F1-Cloud and our consulting partner's architecture across multiple repositories and provide a demo or diagram showcasing a clear understanding of the infrastructure.Develop and present a roadmap for long-term DevOps improvements, focusing on maturity, automation, and reliability.Soft Skills:You thrive in a fast-paced environment where problem-solving and communication are key. You have a strong analytical mindset and can balance long-term strategic goals with immediate operational needs. Your ability to mentor and collaborate ensures the team's collective success.Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Ability to mentor junior team members and lead fortable making decisions under pressure and adapting to change.High attention to detail, ensuring secure and reliable infrastructure operations.Technical Skills:You are an expert in cloud infrastructure, automation, and security. You have hands-on experience managing large-scale deployments and optimizing performance. Your expertise spans across:Deep knowledge of AWS services: EKS, RDS, Glue, SQSSNS, IAM, OpenSearch, Prometheus.Proficiency in Kubernetes (EKS) operations, including auto-scaling, security hardening, and monitoring.Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CICD automation (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).Expertise in cloud security and compliance, including IAM policies and RBAC configurations.Experience with logging and monitoring solutions (CloudWatch, OpenSearch, Prometheus).Strong coding skills in Python, Bash, or another scripting language for automation.About UsAmerican Logistics is a leading provider of non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) management services, dedicated to removing mobility barriers to healthcare.
