POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for overall Customer relationship with focus on customer strategy, growth, and management of Sales activities. Coordinate all new and production business, program quotations and activity for all stages of development and production together with the support of various internal departments. Interact with parent company coordinating all Sales activities. Manage customer communications and negotiations with customers to secure the business and achieve expected profitability.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSupport RFI and RFQ procedures for the designated OEM account.Represent client perspective and interests within the business.Manage cash-in and account receivables related to customer invoices.Ensure timely preparation and submission of quotations to the customer.Assist with contractual documents relevant to client projectsIdentifies new business opportunities within existing and new accounts.Serve as the lead to purchasing and engineering and is the lead for all new business opportunities and gathering new program opportunity RFQ information.Obtain and analyze data (drawings, supplier quotes, engineering changes, etc.)Coordinate new and existing program quote activity at all stages for materials, components, and tooling.Finalize sourcing agreements (Tooling Order and Blanket Purchase Orders).Compare program sales quotation with Cost Planning calculations to ensure profitability.Calculate and report financial feedback for Value AnalysisValue Engineering (VAVE) ideas.Will work with operations to budget & forecast using customer-provided data.Possess a basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) and know the AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) Core Tools.Ability to compile concise visual reports and graphs.Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint preferred.Must be willing to travel at times throughout the US, Canada and Mexico to visit manufacturing sites and customers.Ability for project management involving all required departments.Education7-8 years of experience in sales in automotive (Tier 1) or high-volume manufacturingPrior experience as a negotiator (finance is desired)Understanding of the automotive industryExperience with the assigned OEM is a plusFluent level Japanese; business level EnglishSKILLS & ABILITIESComputer SkillsMicrosoft OfficeEDI SoftwareBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekends as neededApplication Question(s):Will you now or in the future require sponsorship?Experience:Sales: 6 years (Required)Purchasing: 2 years (Required)Production Control: 2 years (Required)Japanese: 1 year (Required)Willingness to travel:25% (Preferred)Work Location: In person
