While prior aerospace and defense experience is not required, we are looking for someone with a strong background in materials science, including metals, composites, plastics, or other materials engineering fields. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing production efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality in our cutting-edge products.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop manufacturing processes for a range of advanced materials, including metals, composites, plastics, and more.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and implement best practices in manufacturing.Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to materials or processes.Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company quality guidelines.Provide technical support to production teams, ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement.Participate in the development and testing of prototypes, working closely with engineers and designers.Help to evaluate and implement new materials and technologies that can improve manufacturing capabilities.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Strong knowledge and experience with materials such as metals, composites, plastics, and other industrial materials.Familiarity with manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, molding, casting, additive manufacturing, etc.).Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams.A passion for innovation and a willingness to learn about aerospace and defense applications.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with material handling or process optimization.Familiarity with aerospace, automotive, or other high-performance industries.Proficiency in CAD software or other manufacturing tools.
