With a strong commitment to innovation, they design and manufacture custom solutions that meet the unique needs of their clients, from initial concept through production.Position Overview:As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take a leadership role in the design and development of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. You will work on new product development and enhancements to existing products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality and manufacturable designs. This role requires a balance between hands-on prototyping, CAD design, and project leadership.Key Responsibilities:Lead the mechanical design process, working closely with electrical and software engineers to develop integrated product solutions.Design enclosures and packaging for electro-mechanical systems, including PCB integration.Develop designs using various materials such as plastics, aluminum, stainless steel, and advanced 3D printing materials.Select appropriate manufacturing methods, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, plastic injection molding, welding, and casting.Generate engineering documentation, including CAD models, drawings, Bills-of-Materials (BOMs), and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), in accordance with industry standards.Apply ASME Y14 drafting standards and GD&T principles to ensure precise and manufacturable designs.Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis to validate design feasibility.Design products for both low-volume and high-rate production environments.Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) methodologies.Work on usability, reliability, experimental design, testing, verification, and validation of mechanical systems.Utilize 3D printing technology to accelerate prototyping and product development.Perform CAD and FEA simulations to evaluate and optimize designs.Conduct technical design reviews and ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations.Required Skills & Qualifications:Strong self-motivation with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.High attention to detail with strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience.Effective collaboration and communication skills across engineering disciplines.Preferred experience with industrial 3D printing technology.Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum 10+ years of design engineering experience, preferably in electro-mechanical systems, medical devices, or test fixture design.Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS or equivalent 3D CAD software for modeling, assemblies, and detailed drawings.Experience with SOLIDWORKS PDM Vault is preferred.Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as FDA, UL, IEC, ISTA, etc., is a plus.BenefitsComprehensive health insurance with low deductiblesDisability and life insurance coverageDental and vision insurance plans401(k) retirement plan with employer matching after one year of serviceGenerous paid time off (PTO)Tuition reimbursement for continued educationFlexible spending accounts for medical and dependent care expensesOn-site fitness centerWellness program with cash incentivesThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical design engineer to contribute to the development of innovative and high-impact products.
