Job Summary: The Safety Manager is responsible for maintaining the policies and procedures for safety compliance and DOT operational compliance for crane operations. Responsible for managing the organization's environmental performance and compliance with environmental regulations.Essential Functions:Safety Compliance: Maintain and promote the overall safety cultures of the assigned region.OSHA general industry compliance at all facilities.OSHA compliance for presence at customer projects.Perform quality assurance audits to ensure overall compliance of projects and branch operations.Report observed hazards to the appropriate personnel and support corrective action plans.Provide coaching, guidance, and direction to employees andor contractors on safe work practices and operational efficiency.Develop and implement corrective actions in response to RCA's.Conduct daily and monthly safety meetings and toolbox talks.Respond to and manage all incidents arising within the assigned region:On-scene response to all critical incidents.Remote response to incidents when appropriate.Gather and compile supporting documentation and distribute to appropriate municate with law enforcement when necessary.Transport employees to medical facilities andor drugalcohol testing.DOT Compliance: Responsible for maintaining policies and procedures for DOT operational compliance.Fleet and operational compliance.Support the management of DOT compliance.Deliver DOT compliance training.Audit DOT compliance through site and yard inspections.Samsara platform.Equipment installation and performance.Asset tracking.Monitor and address driver cident support and management.Develop and implement corrective actions in response to RCA's.Citations and CSA status.Address all internal and external DOT inspections.Monitor and manage CSA 7 basics of compliance.Deliver training andor remedial training to address compliance deficiencies.Environmental Compliance: Responsible for supporting environmental compliance of environmental regulations. Deliver training to employees.Support the response to environmental incidents at facilities or job sites.Develop and implement corrective actions in response to RCA's.Required SkillsAbilities:Strong background and knowledge of cranes, crane operation and industry.Extensive knowledge of FMCSA regulations.Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations.Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations.Driver training and development experience.Ability to develop and improve operational compliance strategies.Permitting and registration experience.Strong computer and technology skills (Office applications, PDFs, safety systems).Ability to create and give presentations.Ability to create training and educational materials.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or a related field, from an accredited college or university OR AAAS degree with 3 years of experience in Safety Compliance or related field OR 5 years of experience in Safety Compliance or a related field.5 years of experience in the crane industry.5 years of experience in Safety Compliance andor DOT industry.Minimum of 1 year of experience in conducting training.Valid Commercial Driver's License (Preferred).Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.Physical Requirements:The company maintains a firm commitment to providing a safe and healthy work environment for its employees and quality services to its clients.
