Certification Details BLS - Basic Life Support ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support NIH Stroke Certification State License 1 Verification NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) Job Details 13 or 26 week option Medical Surgical/Solid Organ Transplant Unit - SOTU is a 36-bed unit providing medical surgical/telemetry and progressive care to adult pre and post liver, kidney, pancreas, intestinal transplant patients and intestinal rehabilitation patients. Ratios are 1:5 days/1:6 nights. Depending on staffing, night ratios can be 1:7 (this is rare, but facility wants travelers to be aware). Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN 2 years of prior Telemetry experience pref (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital) Drips are required on all floors First timers NOT accepted (will consider if the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level l Academic Medical Center) Will float within scope to meet facility needs (this includes potentially floating to Bellevue campus) 100% NICOTINE FREE FACILITY Facility requires all contracts to end on a SUNDAY. Work week is Monday-Sunday. Job Requirements 2 years of prior Telemetry experience pref (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital) BLS, ACLS required EPIC charting experience required Pending license accepted: Yes, but if license is not IN HAND at the time of submission then traveler will be booked six weeks out. RTO restrictions: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted. RTO must be submitted with application. Additional requests after confirmation at manager discretion. No RTO during the first week of orientation. Weekend Requirement: Two weekends in a four-week schedule period (Saturday/Sunday for day shift, Friday/Saturday for night shift). Additional Details 100% Nicotine Free Facility - Nicotine is not included in the drug screen; however, if facility suspects any nicotine use, traveler contract is at risk for immediate termination. Locals Accepted: NO (candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility) Scrubs: MANDATORY - RNs wear Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back. Information on how to obtain Nebraska Medicine branded scrubs will be shared once traveler is confirmed. Facility also sells gray T-shirts that can be worn in their company store. Parking: Professionals can obtain a parking permit (cost depends on the lot, but is approx. $55/month) or they can use daily rate parking ($3 to park for 20 hrs).
