We have been engaged by a top national law firm to identify a top Personal Injury Paralegal! Ability to manage all aspects of personal injury cases from beginning to endGather, analyze, and research information and documentsEducate the client on case progression and set appropriate client expectationsEscalate issues to the attorney as necessaryMonitor negotiations and offersCoordinate client sign-outsCommunicating and corresponding with clients, lien holders, providers and others in the legal community;Maintaining client files;Calculate and manage deadlines;Review, analyze and summarize case files and medical records;Review, draft and file legal documents such as discovery responses, motions, complaints, and other pleadings for attorneys;Assisting attorneys with preparation of cases for trialAttending trial with attorneys and assisting throughout trialPreparing various legal documentsOther duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Associate Degree, requiredParalegal Certification; preferredA minimum of 5 years of Personal Injury (Plaintiff) experience, requiredLitigation experience requiredComplex Litigation and Personal Injury experience a plusSKILLS REQUIRED:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)TrialWorks Case Management Software experience preferredProficiency with computers, telephone lines, and other related office equipmentMust have strong organizational skills; be able to follow instructions, switch tasks quickly and meet deadlines.Must exercise sound judgment, work independently, and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.Professional attitude and appearanceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent planning and reporting skillsMultitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasksCustomer service attitudeFollow up skillsAbility to handle and keep client information confidentialProficiency with legal administration and writingAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
