Location: Various John Deere Waterloo facilitiesJob Type: Part-time, Variable up to 12 hours per week. Hours will vary between 7:30 am and 4 pm Monday through Friday depending on tour schedule.Pay Rate: $16.22Job Overview: John Deere seeks an engaging, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic Tour Guide to provide exceptional tours at various John Deere Waterloo facilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sharing knowledge, a strong ability to engage with diverse audiences, and a keen interest in the history and future of agricultural technologies.Key Responsibilities:• Conduct guided tours for visitors, including customers, stakeholders, and the public, ensuring informative and engaging experiences.• Provide detailed explanations of the facilities' operations and history.• Answer visitor questions accurately and professionally.• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of John Deere's products, history, and contributions to the industry.• Represent John Deere's brand and values accurately and professionally at all times.Qualifications:• Excellent communication and presentation skills.• Proven experience in a public speaking role or as a tour guide is preferred.• Ability to interact positively with a wide range of individuals.• Passionate about history, technology, and education.• Capable of walking and standing for extended periods.• Multilingual skills are a plus.• Manager prefers a current college student; retirees are also welcome to apply.Additional Information:• Candidates will need metatarsals for the first day. Business casual dress code.• No travel is associated with this position.• Candidates may drive a Deere-owned Gator after successfully completing training.• Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position.• Interviews will take place onsite or through MS Teams. The position will start onsite on the first day.• This position is set-up based on the fiscal year and will be extended every year.
