Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the Metrology team, providing technical guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of measurement and quality assurance.Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of metrology projects. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality requirements.First Article Inspections (FAI): Manage and support the execution of FAI to ensure that aerospace components meet technical specifications and are ready for production.Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA): Lead RCCA efforts in the event of measurement discrepancies or quality issues, guiding the team in problem-solving to prevent recurrence.Statistical Analysis: Utilize statistical analysis methods, including statistical process control (SPC), to analyze data and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvements.Audits and Compliance: Lead and support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and client quality management systems (QMS).Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in metrology processes to enhance measurement accuracy, efficiency, and overall quality.Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure alignment and support in achieving operational goals.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, testing, and audits. Provide regular reports on team activities, findings, and recommendations to management.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metrology, Quality Assurance, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in metrology, quality assurance, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading teams and managing projects.Strong knowledge of First Article Inspections (FAI) processes and standards.Experience with Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) and resolving quality issues.Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and techniques, including statistical process control (SPC).Experience conducting and supporting audits (internal, external, or customer-facing).Proven project management experience, including planning, executing, and delivering projects within scope and deadlines.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Preferred Skills:Experience working in the aerospace industry or with aerospace components.Certification in Metrology or Quality Management (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma).Familiarity with industry standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
