Accounting Manager

Fast-growing, dynamic service company in Orange County has an immediate need for an Accounting Manager. $120-140K plus 10% bonusHybrid work schedule Notes:Profiles that will work:PublicprivateStraight private to include intercompanyconsolidations experience, strong GAAP and financial reportingCPA preferred, not requiredGreat culture and tons of flexibilityThey want this person to reduce the close time and implement new policies and procedures. Will supervise 2-3 staff. * We are seeking candidates local to the Southern California area or with immediate plans to relocate only *Responsibilities:Manage accurate and timely fiscal month-end accounting closeProactively identify issues and areas for improvement within the close process and implement process improvementsCreates andor posts journal entries and reviews account reconciliationsReview payroll accounting, bonus and commission accruals, and account reconciliationsReview of AP transactions and payment cyclesAssist with all areas of treasury, including cash managementSystem administrator for GL and AP functionsAssist Vice President, Finance and Audit in developing and monitoring accounting policies and proceduresResponsible for leading and participating in adhoc project teams related to system implementations, audits, etc.Develop and enforce company systems, policies, and controls as they relate to accounting and financeManage and coach a team of up to two.Qualifications:· Bachelors degree with emphasis in AccountingFinance or related field, CPA preferred, not required· Minimum of 6 years' accountingreporting experience· Sound knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is required· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Extensive experience with accounting and consolidation software systems· Prior supervisory experience effectively leading and developing subordinates· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of the Company· Detail-oriented and accurate· Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to exercise professional judgment to resolve complex accounting challenges
