Job Description: Provide IS technical support at the plant level, acting as client support and first responder to issues relating to plant IS systems.Represent the needs of the plant and act as liaison between the plant and Corporate IS functions.Support Corporate IS projects involving computers and networking systems at the plant level.Provide IS support services to user departments in identifying, evaluating, implementing and maintaining computer-based solutions to business problems.The Assoc Systems Support Specialist may delegate to others to support multiple shift operations but shall retain overall responsibility.Ongoing responsibilities include hardware and software support for Windows PC's, printers, virtual environments, network infrastructure, time clocks, bar code systems, phone system, and paging system.Responsibilities:IT systems: Provide on-site monitoring and support for IT infrastructure. Work with corporate IT and plant staff to help implement corporate-driven hardware, software, and network projects. Facilitate communications to plant staff about IT projects. Help facilitate Windows desktoplaptop installation and maintenance.OT systems: Support automationcontrols software and licenses required on technician PCs, support plant OT infrastructure including virtual machines, networking, thin clients, system backups, imaging, and hardware troubleshooting.End User Support: Respond to plant user support needs related to PC software and hardware, printers, and plant applications such as PI (data historian), MES systems, EMS systems, barcode systems, and timeclocks. Facilitate user access requests, user training, and manage user accounts as required. Work with corporate IT Help Desk.Disaster Recovery: Ensure data backup program(s) are properly administrated per Company policy. Function as the "Plant Owner" of local computer rooms and data closets to help ensure security, fire protection, and utility supplies are well maintained.Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major dutiesresponsibilities:Must demonstrate the Client Values.Proficiency of the English languageWorks safely and follows all established plant policies and proceduresPossess good time managementPossess good math skillsFollows directions and pays attention to detailsAbility to work independently and in group environmentPossess good communication skills both written and verbalDemonstrated ability to handle multiple prioritiesUnderstanding of when to address issues and when to hand support off to next level for resolution.Proficient understanding of PCs and printersProficient understanding of Windows operating systems (PC and server)Understanding of virtual environments (virtual machines, VLANs, thin clients, etc.)Understanding of network communicationsUnderstanding of network security and firewall configurationsSome knowledge of program languages and database conceptsTypical Day:Top Three Technical Skills: proficiency in Windows environments and networking, understanding of virtual environments (VMWare, etc), ability to efficiently troubleshoot client issuesMust Haves (i.e., years of experience?)Ideally - Associates degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science or related field with some ITOT support experienceSoftware Skills and Purpose (if applicable):Industry Experience: Ideal 3-5 years' experience in ITOT supportMinimum Education and Experience Requirements:Education:Associates Degree or relevant certification preferredExperience:Minimum 3-5 years of experience with computer end user supportTekWissen® Group is an equal opportunity employer supporting workforce diversity.
