Alternative Investment, Product Specialist - VP/SVP

About the RoleMy client is looking to hire an Alternative Investment Specialist to support a new series of accredited investor focused offerings created in partnership with some of the world's leading alternative assets managers. This individual would be part of a small team tasked with raising capital for these offerings. The target clients for such capital-raising efforts are independent broker dealers, registered investment advisors, private banks and wire-houses. This role will report to the Head of Registered Fund Solutions Sales.*The role is FULLY REMOTE, but requires a presence in a major West Coast Metropolitan such as LA, San Francisco, Seattle, or DenverResponsibilitiesExecute a comprehensive capital raising plan for covered geography, channels, firms, and advisors.Work with asset manager partners to educate advisors on related asset classes and new offering(s) through centralized and local tactics.Guide Marketing and Research teams to create collateral, support calls and webinars and product focused campaigns.Become proficient in all aspects of the product(s) and sub strategies to fill the role of wholesaler and product specialists as required.Travel regularly in the market to attend industry conferences and meet with key clients and pany Requirements:Qualifications10-15+ years of experience working within the alternative investment industry in a client facing capacity (e.g., Investor relations at placement agent, private equity capital raising, external wholesaler, client portfolio manager, product specialist)Willing to work on a commissioned-based sales plan after a ramp-up periodExceptional communication, organizational and interpersonal skillsSelf-starter who takes initiative and learns quickly in a fast-paced environmentStrong commitment to continuous professional development and improvement of the teamSeries 7 and 63 licenses are requiredObtain CAIA within 2-3 years of hire*In Addition to base compensation, there will be quarterly commissions (including a guaranteed commission in the first few years) along with equity in the firm, and carry on the fund down the line.
