Laboratory Technician/Chemical

Job Location: 200 Elm Street, Stamford, CT 06901Position Type: 9 Months Contract with possible extensionPay Rate $24.60hr on w2 with benefits Education:Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technical fieldQualifications:3years of demonstrated laboratory experienceComputer literate in Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of fortable and able to work with toxic chemicals while following safe laboratory practicesprotocols.The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.Responsibilities:Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Scientist, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:Manage product stability (analysis and testing) while documenting progress and results.Record, organize and communicate resultsdata from experiments and testingSupport laboratory batching of body care products (e.g., hand soaps and body washes) and sample submissionsObserve safety and environmental guidelines while handling productsMaintain laboratory and storage areas, as well as equipment.Ensure adherence to all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations, standards and policies.
