Electrical SolidWorks Designer

Job Title: Electrical SolidWorks DesignerLocation: Woburn, MA (100% onsite)Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical SolidWorks Designer to join our team for a contract position in Woburn, MA. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience using SOLIDWORKS Electrical and be capable of working with electrical schematics, P&ID interpretations, and loop drawings. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams, while also mentoring other engineers.Key Responsibilities:Design & Drafting:Design and draft general wiring schematics, segment schematics, and loop schematics in SOLIDWORKS work Architecture & Layouts:Draft network architecture diagrams and detailed layouts using SOLIDWORKS Electrical.CAD Library Management:Create, manage, and expand the CAD library of hardware components to include more commonly used parts and ensure it is maintained for the team.File Management:Maintain and manage the electronic CAD filing system on the corporate network for assigned projects.Mentorship & Training:Mentor and train a team of 4 existing electrical engineers on using SolidWorks Electrical effectively.Migration & Conversion:Assist with the migration and conversion of 2D DraftSight drawings into SolidWorks Electrical.Collaboration:Work with the Mechanical Design team to establish connections to the existing library, designs, and Vault system.Required Qualifications:Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with SOLIDWORKS Electrical.Solid understanding of interpreting P&ID's, electrical schematics, loop drawings, and general arrangement drawings.Assertive, proactive, and able to work well in a team environment with a friendly and helpful attitude.Strong written, organizational, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:CSWA-Electrical certification is highly preferred.
