Our client is a highly successful, privately held firm specializing in the manufacturing, installation, and servicing of electronic switchgear, DPS, automation, and controlmonitoring systems for marine applications. As the company continues to scale, they are seeking a Sales Manager to drive business growth, develop new opportunities, and lead a team of three Account Managers to achieve revenue goals.Position OverviewThe Sales Manager will be responsible for outside sales, business development, and team leadership. This role requires an individual with deep industry knowledge, a passion for sales, and a strong ability to develop and maintain relationships with both new and existing customers.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business DevelopmentIdentify and secure new business opportunities in marine electronics and related industries.Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market share.Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.Conduct client visits, presentations, and contract negotiations to drive revenue growth.Leadership & Team ManagementSupervise, mentor, and support a team of three Account Managers.Set clear performance goals and provide ongoing coaching to optimize team success.Foster a high-performance, results-driven sales culture.Market & Strategic SellingUtilize strategic selling methodologies to create value for clients and exceed expectations.Understand the value chain within the marine industry and identify ways to provide additional customer value.Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events.Sales Operations & ReportingTrack and analyze sales performance metrics, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's Degree preferred.5-10+ years of experience in field sales within marine electronics, oilfield services, or related industries.Proven ability to develop relationships with customer representatives and earn additional business through performance and trust.Strong experience in strategic selling, understanding the value chain, and exceeding client expectations.Passion for sales and customer engagement, with a track record of closing deals and growing accounts.Self-directed, high-energy, business-savvy, and determined overachiever.Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.Why Join?Opportunity to lead a talented team and directly impact company growth.Work with a well-established and growing company in a highly specialized petitive base salary + commission + benefits package.
