Senior Financial Analyst

Title: Senior Financial Analyst - Government SegmentLocation: Carlsbad, CA (Hybrid - 2 Days in Office)Our client, a leading communications company with a strong government sector, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support their growing team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a large, publicly traded company with a significant presence in the industry. The position is hybrid, requiring two days per week in the Carlsbad, CA office.Key Responsibilities:Manage financial processes, including revenue and cost forecasting, month-end close, data reconciliation, and reporting.Develop financial models to support investment decisions and business strategy.Analyze and control costs related to production, inventory, and operations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain) to optimize financial forecasting.Prepare reports and key performance analyses to support leadership decision-making.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.4+ years of financial analysis experience, preferably in large companies.Experience with project accounting, cost forecasting, and revenue forecasting.Proficiency in financial modeling (Excel, VBA).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to pick things up quickly and work independently.Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills.Preferred:Prior experience in government contracting (CAS, FAR) is a plus.CPA or CFA designation is a plus.Experience with SAP, Blackline, and Oracle.Work Environment & Benefits:Reports to the Senior Director of Finance (Division CFO).Strong company culture with work-life balance and flexible start times.Opportunity to work on high-impact financial strategies in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated financial professional to join a leading company in the government sector.
